The Cypress County Recreation Board consists of the nine members of Council. Their primary task is distributing the recreation grants to the many not-for-profit recreation and cultural organizations that serve County residents.
The Board also oversees the Athlete Development Fund, which provides financial assistance to athletes involved in Provincial, National or International competitions. They may also provide funding to Special Events that impact a large percentage of the population and contributes to the celebration of life in Cypress County.
