2011/4 Land Use Bylaw
On April 5th
2011 the Cypress
County Council gave 3rd and final reading to Bylaw 2011/04 in order to adopt the Land Use Bylaw.
The Land Use Bylaw is a statutory document which provides the direction for
development and the use of land, and controls and regulates development in
Cypress County.

Updates to the
regulations in the various land use districts, and to the diagrams as a result
of the Tri-Area Intermunicipal Development Plan coming into effect as of January
10, 2011,

Adding a new
land use district called Country Residential Farmstead Separations District
“CR-FS” which is needed in order to subdivide an existing farmyard from a
previously un-subdivided quarter section,
·
Definitions
were added for floodrisk area, farmstead separation, public and quasi public
buildings and use, and storage container
·
Previous bylaw
additions were added including amendments to development agreements, and
regulations concerning Provincial Highway setbacks, storage containers, garden
suites, hard surfacing on hamlet residential lots, portable signs, off-site
employees for home occupations, and private swimming pools
·
Updates to the
existing diagrams, updates to the land use district maps, and updates to
diagrams showing the new boundaries for the Town of Redcliff.
