Rural Development Setback Requirements

* Please note that the following types of farm and rural developments do not require a development permit provide that they meet the required setback distance of 40 metres or 130 feet from the center of any township road, range road, or undeveloped road allowance;

-haystacks and feed storage

-granaries and grain bins

-shelterbelts, hedges, and rows of trees planted closer than 5 metres or 16 feet apart

-dugouts, reservoirs, wells, and sewage disposal fields

-solid slab corral structures and livestock shelters and windbreaks
