Roads & Parks  

 

         

One of the main areas that the Public Works department takes care of is Roads & Parks, which includes the following activities:

  
   

  • Road construction, including cost sharing roads to new residences in the rural area

  • Road maintenance such as summer grading and winter snow plowing/sanding

  • Road graveling

  • Dust control on roads using an oil/gravel cold mix

  • Private dust control in front of rural residences and adjacent to country residential subdivisions, plus hot mix pavement within new country residential subdivisions and adjacent to/within all industrial subdivisions

  • Sidewalk construction and maintenance within the 9 hamlets

  • Bridge, culvert & Texas gate installation and maintenance

  • Road Signage and maintenance

  • Mowing of road ditches

  • Mowing within 8 hamlets

  • Issuing Road Ban – Special Permits

  • Issuing Utility Construction Permits
