    Fresh, clean water is a limited commodity.  Cypress County encourages residents to use water wisely and minimize waste even during plentiful supply conditions.  During prolonged dry periods, outside watering puts a severe strain on water treatment systems and restrictions may be implemented. 

For tips on water conservation measures, the Household Guide to Water Efficiency is a useful and practical manual.  This guide is available free of charge at the County office. The Guide is full of information on water use efficiency for both inside and outside the home.  The Guide shows how to test for and repair leaks, make the most efficient use of water when doing daily chores and plan landscaping with water efficiency in mind.
