Winter, 2008 Medicine Hat & area Attend an Environmental Farm Plan Workshop in your area and learn how to develop an action plan that gives you the tools to enhance your farm or ranch operation. It's a long-term investment that your grandchildren will benefit from and all it will cost is a few hours of your time. During Workshop 1, about 4 hours are spent learning about environmental risks on-farm and how to prepare a Plan. Air photos of your farm are available from the County for $2/quarter section, printed or digital. Workshop 2, about 3 hours, is used to discuss identified risks, share suggested solutions and finalize the Plan. Once a Plan has undergone peer review, a Certificate is issued, which will enable producers to access funding from the Canada-Alberta Farm Stewardship Program (CAFSP). Registration deadline is 2 days before the first Workshop date by contacting Facilitator Brenda Stryker at 403-867-2103.
