Enhanced Police
Services
The Purpose of having an RCMP officer
provided
to and funded by Cypress County is for
the
delivery of an enhanced level of policing
services.
The intent is to encourage compliance
in all areas
of public safety through a balanced
approach of
education, assistance and enforcement.
The RCMP officer may provide
assistance to the
Cypress County Peace Officer and Fire
Chief
when requested upon.
The RCMP officer enforces:
Ø Provincial Statutes of Alberta
Ø Criminal Code of Canada, including investigation of vandalism &
mischief
Ø Federal Statutes
The RCMP officer enforces infractions
which include but are not limited to:
§ Traffic Control
§ Weights & Measures
§ Insecure Loads
§ Liquor Infractions
§ Dumping & Sprinkling of Irrigation Water on Public Roads
§ Driving Offences
§ Littering
