Cypress County is grateful for the annual grant from the Alberta Sport, Recreation, Parks, and Wildlife Foundation, to help keep user fees reasonable at these campsites

Cavan Lake Recreational Campground

Location:   18 km East of Medicine Hat on Highway 1, then 5.5 km South on Range Road 40 (4 km of this is gravel surface)

Amenities:   Open May 1 - October 1,   52 Sites (34 with 30 amp power, 18 seasonal).   On-site  Caretaker, Firepits, Free firewood, Gated, Group camping, Horseshoe pits, Playground, Treated water, Day-Use Area, Fishing  (stocked with Rainbow Trout), 12 km/hr maximum boat speed.

Rates:    Daily:   Power = $15.00    Unserviced:   $10.00   Weekly = $75.00 or $50.00    Seasonal = $700.00 or $400.00

Location:  Approximately 100 km northeast of Medicine Hat, or 27 km north of Hilda, on Hwy 41 along the South Saskatchewan River.
