For history buffs, more detailed history of the area can be found in the Cypress County publication Celebrating Our History (1.3 mb).  It contains interesting pieces of information from around the County, taken from local history books or conversations with local, long time residents.  You will be able to read about agriculture, life in the community, native history, North West Mounted Police (NWMP), postal services, wildlife and plants, interesting regional facts and origin of names.
