Effective: 1200hrs, June 27, 2025
Cypress County is under a fire ban, in accordance with bylaw 2025/07.Conditions have worsened significantly in the past four days.
❌ The following are NOT allowed:
- Fireworks
- Incinerators
- Burning barrels
- Solid fuel barbecues (charcoal)
- Recreational campfires
- Chimeneas
- Fires in designated camping and recreational areas
✅ The following remain allowed:
- Recreational fire pits (see our fire control document for details)
- Internal household fireplaces
- Propane or natural gas-fueled appliances
- Wood pellet smokers
