Some favourite summer activities include hiking, water sports, nature and wildlife viewing, horseback riding, mountain biking, golfing, geocaching, and fishing. Winter activities include ice skating, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, winter camping, fat biking, snowshoeing, snow luge and skiing/snowboarding at Hidden Valley Ski Resort. Additionally, due to its high elevation and lack of urban light pollution, Cypress Hills was the first designated Dark Sky Preserve in Alberta and is one of the largest in North America. If the conditions are right, you may even get to see aurora borealis!
