🔥 It’s getting hotter and drier, and we've made the call: Cypress County is under a Fire Restriction as of 9 a.m. today (May 4).
The fire danger map from the province tells the story. There's ample fuel for fires, it's getting drier by the day, and temperatures are rising.
The restriction means no fireworks, but burn barrels, recreational campfires and barbecues are still allowed. Fire pits must be less than 36 inches in diameter, 10 feet from anything combustible, and have water readily available.

• Fireworks
✅ The following are allowed:
• Recreational campfires
• Solid fuel barbecues (charcoal)
• Internal household fireplaces
• Propane or natural gas-fueled appliances
• Wood pellet smokers
• Incinerators
• Burning barrels
• Chimeneas
